1873 At Carbonear on Monday last, after a long and painful illness borne with christian resignation to the Divine Will, Mr. Alexandra Hamilton, aged 68 years.  The deceased was a native of Carbonear and leaves a wife and large family to mourn their loss.  (1) Harbour Grace Standard May 21, 1873

 

1899 Kennedy - Yesterday morning after a short illness, Margret (sic), beloved wife of Nicholas Kennedy, aged 42 years, leaving a loving husband, eight sons and four daughters to mourn their sad loss. Funeral on Friday the 9th Inst, at 2:30 o'clock from her late residence, 21 Water Street West. Friends are requested to attend without further notice.     (2) Source:
