Will of Bridget Shea, Port de Grave - 1862 (daughter of John Kennedy; grand dau. of James Kennedy d. 1761 Harbour Main)

Seal: In the Name of God Amen, I Bridget Shea of Port de Grave in the Island
of Newfoundland, Widow, being through the blessing of God in a Sound Sate of
mind tho other debilitated in body and calling to mind the frail tenure of
this life, and that it is appointed to all once to die do make and ordain
this my last Will and Testament. That is to say, I give and bequeath and
dispose of it in the manner and proportions here following. Firstly and
finally, I give and bequeath to my Nephews Michael and Philip Riely, whom I
make my Executors of this my last Will and Testament all and singular my
lands, House and tenements situate both here and at Back Cove, together with
all the property attached thereto, to be held by them Share and Share alike,
with the promise that they the said Michael and Philip Riely shall pay all
debts dues and demands on the said property up to the time of my decease and
shall furthermore pay the sum of six pounds cash to the Priest of the Parish
to be expended in Masses for the repose of my Soul. Ratifying and confirming
this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. I in witness whereof do
hereby se my hand and seal this 11th day of February 1862.

B. Shea, signed sealed and published pronounced and declared by the said
Bridget Shea as her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us the
subscribers.

I hereby certify that the execution of the Will of which the foregoing is a
true and correct copy by Bridget Shea the Testatrix party thereto, was
proved before me by the affidavit of Patrick Kenny one of the Subscribing
Witnesses to the same on the tenth day of July one thousand eight hundred
and sixty two, and a true and correct copy is hereby Registered by me this
day.

Given under by Hand this fifteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-two.
