Patrick Kennedy deceased

This is the last will of me Patrick Kennedy of Saint John’s Tailor 1. I appoint Edward Berrigan of St. John’s Shopkeeper Executor of this my will. 2. I give and bequeath to the trustees or owners of St. Bonaventure College the sum of $250.00 to be applied towards payment for the new wing. 3. I direct my executor to expend 250.00 for Masses for the repose of my soul 4. The residue of my estate and effects of every disemption I direct my executor to invest and to pay the income thereof to my wife during her life and while she shall remain unmarried for the use maintenance and education of herself & my children- 5. On the death or remarriage of my said wife I give all my estate and effects (save as provided by paragraphs 2 & 3 hereof) to my children or the survivor of them absolutely and forever 6. I give my executor power in his discretion to use portion of the Capital of my Estate for the maintenance or education of my wife or children if he shall think it necessary and power to continue any present investment and to invest in mortgages upon landed property in St. John’s 7. In the event of both my children dying underage without lawfull issue then on the death or remarriage of my wife I give devise and bequeath my then existing estate and effects to the Roman Catholic Episcopal Corporation of St. John’s Witness my hand this 28th day of January A.D. 1911.
